DAY ONE
3:00pm: Another friend just had a baby. That makes five (??) this year. I love them all dearly but have zero instincts on what to gift a newborn... or a postpartum mom... or a six-month-old. I freeze.
7:30pm: I open up Duckbill: "Help me find thoughtful but not cheesy gifts for new parents and their babies: something that feels a little elevated. Bonus if I can send a few in advance!"
DAY TWO
10:00am: Duckbill sends a breakdown by baby age with curated gift ideas: custom storybooks, memory-safe baby keepsake boxes, luxurious nursing robes, and the one thing all my friends apparently want: someone to prepay for sleep training. Oh, and a 6 month subscription to Duckbill, too, because, duh.
2:00pm: I choose a few options for different friends, and Duckbill handles the ordering and shipping. They even let me add personalized notes and stagger delivery dates. I feel like a gift-giving goddess. I sign for me and my partner, because they love getting credit for minimal effort (hey, no judgement over here!)
DAY FOUR
11:00pm: We both get a thank-you text that includes crying emojis and a selfie of a friend wrapped in the robe I sent. Duckbill may be the only reason I’m maintaining BFF status through this baby boom.
Also now considering Duckbill my co-godparent.
