You know how in each family, we have that one person who's the organizer and does all of the organizing for everything? And they love to do it. But then there comes a time when you're tired of doing it all the time. That was me.
I had been the go-to de facto organizer, and it led me to total burnout, and I really wanted to give up.
As a family of four, everyone has their own things going on, so it really was up to me to manage most of the household. Living between New York and Italy, I had to say, I need some help. And I'm a person who doesn't ask for help often.
The Problem Set, Clean and Simple
From shuffling between New York and Italy time zones, I was stressed to the max. I had to manage my workload with US clients, as well as work with clients in Italy. I was having trouble managing all the calls, all the travel. What was the hidden cost of doing all of this? Rest was gone. Missed opportunities were gone. I was overworking myself, and it was not a pretty sight.
Why Duckbill, Not Another VA
When I got the chance to use Duckbill and learn what it was about, I said, "Sign me up, please!"
I was very, very impressed. I loved the human element as well as the AI element working in tandem. I loved that there was one hub for all requests, updates, and files. Everything was kept in a super easy place.
I loved that they took initiative and were able to take more and run with it without having me to actually prompt and ask for more.
The co-pilots, or Duckbill's sidekicks, as I like to say, are super nice! I felt really well taken care of, and what I had asked for was actually going to get done. I didn't have to explain myself.
Real Moments That Sealed It
Some things that really saved the day for me by using Duckbill were managing some last-minute flights for a friend's wedding in D.C. Duckbill was able to find flight options and everything for me, and I was able to book confidently.
I had a last-minute client meeting that came up. And I was scrambling. Duckbill was able to look up some new places for me and make the reservation. Weight lifted, stress gone. Finger snap and a two-step to boot.
Less Planning, More Living
I'm happy to say that being an organizer is what I can do in my sleep. But having somebody else be at least a part-time organizer in my life is cake, totally. I couldn't have it any other way.
I'm not going back! I'm not going back to days and nights where I feel my calendar is so incredibly booked that I have no space left for me, and then I'm trying to catch up during the weekend.
More living, more actively being present in life instead of looking to see what's next on the calendar. That’s how I’m finishing the rest of 2025.
